What to do after a car wreck

Farshad Marzban | 2.14.2024

We know that car wrecks are scary. We know your mind is racing. But it is important to keep your composure after a car wreck and try to get as much important information as you can. The following list includes some of the things to do after a collision:

Exchange information with the other drivers involved in the wreck.

Get the name and contact information of any witnesses.

Make sure the police are called. Stay at the scene of the collision and give the police your version of the events.

Gather evidence from the scene of the collision. For example, take photographs (including photographs of the vehicles and any skid marks on the road) and note any nearby stores that may have surveillance video showing the collision.

Take photographs of your injuries.

And, if you have been injured, call Marzban Law to be your advocate. If you are a client of Marzban Law, we will explain the process for (and guide you through) your injury claim, as well as talk to you about steps to take to support your injury claim.
